Applying DTF Transfers is Easy
If You Know These Tips
Preparing Fabric and Transfer
DTF transfers work on cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics. Before applying, make sure the fabric is clean, dry, and flat — wrinkles, dirt, or moisture can affect the result. Pre-press the fabric for 5 seconds to remove moisture. Place the transfer carefully so it doesn’t move during pressing.
Press Setup and Application
Preheat the heat press to 300-320 °F and set firm pressure. Pressing time is usually 15-20 seconds, depending on fabric thickness and the press model. Do not move the transfer while pressing, and peel the backing off immediately while it’s still hot.
